This card is featuring the little snow girl from the new set Holly Jolly and a little snowman from Christmas Wishes. As soon as I saw this little girl I KNEW I wanted to do a no lines coloring, but I had no idea what I wanted to do for the card. Well, since making my fox shaker card, I’ve been obsessed with this Shake It Up die set from CDD! So, I guess I’m making a shaker snow globe card again!
I LOVE how the coloring turned out on them! It looks like those vintage valentines you see sometimes. Now, one thing I forgot about doing no lines coloring is it’s really difficult to hide your lines when you’re doing white, so you can see some of my lines, but I feel like that gives it that vintage look.
I decided that I wanted to use the new Doodlebug Milk & Cookies paper pad to make my card & the background inside my snow globe. Inside the snow globe, I used Flower Soft in Artic White as my “snow”. I also put Nuvo Glitter Accents in Fresh Snowfall on the snow banks.
For my sentiment, I really wanted to use this one from the new Christmas Wishes stamp set. I also knew I wanted to do it in pink foil and make some matching hearts to go inside the shaker. I cut out my sentiment with the Stitched In Circle dies and my hearts with the confetti from Pocket Pieces HI dies, ran them through my Mini Minc, and added an eyelet to the sentiment. The tag is tied to the snow globe with Lawn Fawn Silver Sparkle twine.
To build up my shaker, I used 3 layers of adhesive backed foam that I cut out with my dies. So, you can see this card is VERY thick. I won’t send it through the mail on its own.
I do hope I’ve inspired you to make some snow globes on your cards.

Welcome to my first post for Day 4 of the Craftin’ Desert Divas October Release! Today, the divas are showcasing 2 new stamp sets… “Holiday Hugs” and “Holly Jolly”.
The first card I’m showing you is for the set Holiday Hugs. I just LOVED these two little characters hugging candy canes! Also, I figure that each little troll has his own little critter that matches his/her hair color!
I decided to make this card a shaker card. I used some Doodlebug “Santa Express” paper to compliment the little candy loving troll and his buddy. To make the casing for my shaker, I cut 6 layers of 100lb Neenah Solar White cardstock using the Inside Scalloped Circle dies and adhered them all on top of each other. Then, I cut an additional glitter piece and added my acetate to it for the top. I filled my shaker using Fairy Dust sequins from CDD and added in a few iridescent stars of my own. I also used the Doodlebug Sprinkles to add in some larger candy shapes. I love that if you use your powder tool, you can take the adhesive off the back of these and they become little flat backs!
I used Copics to color up my cuties and then cut them out using my Scan N Cut. I didn’t want the focus to be taken from them, so I adhered them to the outside of the shaker.
The die cut sentiment is from the new Sending word die set. There’s the word die and also a shadow die in this set. I added some NUVO Shimmer pen to my word to give it some sparkle. The “Holiday Hugs” sentiment is from the Holiday Hugs stamp set. I actually put some foil on top of it to stick with that green color scheme. I used a tag from CDD’s Pocket Pieces HI dies to cut it out. I attached it to the Sending sentiment with a little Doodlebug Christmas twine and my card is finished.
Be sure and stop by the Craftin’ Desert Divas Gallery and join our October Release Event for a chance to win this set!
