Get Well, Sweet M!

Sunday, June 1st, 2014

Recently, a friend of my daughter from California (well, I also call her my friend. I actually have a lot of friends that are kids, but that’s another blog post.), fell off some equipment at the playground and broke her arm. I really wanted to make her a get well card.

I chose this little image from A Random Fan to color up for M’s get well card. She has lots of cuties available on her site! I decided to make the card go quicker that I’d use a sketch. I chose MFTWSC160 from My Favorite Things.

On this card I decided to use some of the new supplies I’ve been hording collecting lately. I decided to use the Confetti Creative Cuts from Mama Elephant and my new Wink of Stella clear pen. Then I went over it with Glossy Accents to give it a 3D shine. I colored the hearts that I cut out of white paper and colored with a matching Copic. I learned this tip from Kristina Werner.

For the inside I decided to add a little sentiment from the Chit Chat stamp set from Paper Smooches.
