Thursday! Thursday is the kiddos’ last day of school! I cannot believe how time has flown this year! I wanted to make a special card for Emily’s teacher because she has done so much for us this year. She’s just absolutely wonderful! I’d love to make cards for all the teachers, but we all know that I don’t even make that many cards in a year, much less 2 days. 🙁 Maybe I’ll get faster.

I decided to make her card an easel card, but in an A2 size. This size is starting to grow on me.

I was looking for an appropriate digital image to use for this card. I decided to use one from Whimsy Doodles. I’ve always liked her style of drawings and would love to make more. Even bought a few more digis to make into other cards. 😉

“Apple Lizzie” From Whimsie Doodles

Y’all know me and quotes. LOVE THEM!!! I decided I wanted to put this one on the card. I was going to write over it with a white gel pen, but because of the size it became illegible.

“You may not see the fruit of today’s work, but you have seeded a lifetime of knowledge.”

For the inside, I wanted to keep the same layout. I loved these 2 sentiments from Lawn Fawn.

Today’s post is going to be short and sweet. Procrastinating Crafter here again (Well, at least this one is before the holiday!)! I made treats for all the kids in my daughter’s class and also made treats for the teachers and staff at both schools (not all of them, but the ones that help us out).

First up is the class treat bags. These were done super quick as I lost a day this week when my daughter had a stomach bug.

I used an adorable cut file from Silhouette (link below) for each of these. I was actually able to fit 2 of the bags on a 12×12 sheet of paper. Then, I used a scrap of red for the wattles and a scrap of orange for the beaks. Rather than cut out that many small black dots and adhere each one for eyes (or use my precious enamel dots), I used a marker and drew my own. Then added white dots to the inside to add “life”. I rolled up a glue dot for under the beak. Before assembling them, I stamped the words “Gobble Gobble” on the back using Lawn Fawn’s Violet Stamp Set and Ranger gold embossing powder. The tail feathers are from Doodlebug’s Forest Friends paper. Yes, I know, amazed that I used some of my coveted Doodlebug supplies? I love that they have little cute critters on their butts! I used a scrap piece of craft cardstock to make the little chevrons on them. They’re tiny, but PERFECT for class treats! Just enough for a small tiny bit of candy. I was able to fit 3 dum-dum lollipops and 2 small smartie packages in each and that was cramming them. 😉

For the teacher gifts, I ended up doing something super quick. Well, the die cutting wasn’t super quick, but I just LOVE the stitching lines on the leaves! For these, I used a wood grain Doodlebug paper (Yes, I do believe I might have been delirious that day! Candy bar wrappers are SUPER simple to make. Plus, I was able to get 4 out of each sheet. 🙂 I used my score board so folding them would be easier. Once that was done, I used scor tape to close them around the bars. Then I added a square of 1″ score tape to each one and added a piece of burlap that I’d cut. This stuff is MESSY!!! Then I added the cardstock leaves that I had cut out in 3 different colors. 🙂 Once that was done, I made a tag up really quickly on the computer (I was running out of time) and used the print and cut feature on the silhouette. I took the tags and some hemp twine and tied them around where the leaves met. I think it looks really cute!

I hope this inspires some cute little treats for you!
